Files

Easy-to-install filter unit for 100 mm supply air ducts.
Package includes a metal mounting frame and a replaceable filter that effectively captures dust, pollen, and other airborne impurities before they enter indoor spaces.

Suitable for use in naturally ventilated buildings or as an additional filter in mechanical ventilation systems.

Sarne Duct Filter – Enhanced Protection for Supply Air Ducts

The Sarne duct filter removes particles more efficiently than the built-in filters of mechanical ventilation systems and also prevents contaminants accumulated in the ductwork from entering indoor spaces.

Installed directly into the ventilation duct, the filter is safe to use – it does not emit ozone or any harmful compounds into the air.

The main impurities entering indoor air via mechanical ventilation include:

  • Particles accumulated in the ducts and released into indoor air by airflow

  • Microbes caused by moisture entering or condensing in the duct system

  • Harmful fibers released from sound insulation materials

  • Fine particles that pass through the system’s original filters

In fully mechanical ventilation systems, a duct filter should be placed in every room where supply air is distributed, to maintain pressure balance. Sarne's electrostatic filter material is open-structured, offering high filtration efficiency with minimal air resistance. However, since the filter reduces airflow slightly, ventilation must be rebalanced after installation.

When used in supply ducts of a mechanical ventilation system, the air has already passed through the unit’s main filters, so most outdoor particles are already removed. Over time, however, the duct filter collects small particles and contaminants released from the duct system itself.

Replacement intervals vary significantly depending on airflow volumes, the quality of the system’s own filters, and the amount of particles released from the ductwork. The actual replacement cycle can only be determined in use, and typically ranges between 2 and 12 months.
