The fastest way to attach filter fabric to a ventilation hatch is by using small, powerful magnets.
This makes replacing the filter very quick and easy. Attachment magnets can be used with ventilation hatches that have a steel outer grille, as well as with metal vents.
Note: Some ventilation hatches have grilles made of aluminum, which magnets do not stick to. You can test the surface with a fridge magnet to check if it is magnetic.
If the filter cannot be attached directly with magnets, you can screw metal strips onto the inner frame of the hatch. These strips provide a magnetic surface for attaching the filter.
In a ventilation hatch, magnets should be placed on both sides of the grille at 20–30 cm intervals.
The filter itself should be approximately 2 cm larger than the hatch opening so that it overlaps the grille by about 1 cm on all sides.
The attachment magnets can also be used for other purposes.
